L'Oreal Paris Kajal Magique Review

Well, most of the reviews are done by people on using the product a couple of times max. I thought I should do a review after I have used it the product for at-least a couple of months. I got busy and tied up with work, and just yesterday realized that my favorite Kajal is about to get over! A review is very much due!

I was invited for the unveiling of L'Oreal Paris Kajal Magique back in December, where they gave us all one Kajal complimentary (along with many other goodies too). Since I was already using a Maybelline Colossal & Mac Kajal, I waited for at-least one to get over, so I started using the L'Oreal Magique around March, so it has lasted me 6 months I can safely say that!

The packaging and external appearance of this magic wand is worth talking about too! A sleek black and pink theme with a rotating end (no sharpener pains eh), this looks beautiful !

What they claim (and my views on the same)-

- L'OrĂ©al Paris Kajal Magique is supremely black and doubles up as a darker-than-night eyeliner.

TRUE - Unlike Colorbar's Kajal (Which I have used in the past), this one is smooth rich dark black. To compare it with Maybelline's Collosal Kajal or Mac's Pencil Kajal, there is not much of a difference in the blackness, they're all pretty close. But, continue reading to know why L'Oreal's magique is the winner.

- Along with providing a great finish, it is also enriched with ingredients like Vitamin E, Cocoa Butter, Olive Oil Esters and Vitamin C Derivative, which provide extraordinary care.

WOW Factor - Everyone is really concerned about eyes, and would like to have only the best products to be used on and around them. So to know that this cosmetic is made out of ingredients that care for the eyes is totally like an added bonus.

- Designed to last for up to 12 hours, Kajal Magique is smudge proof, waterproof and non-transferable.

TRUE Again! Now this is the major highlight for me. Working in Mumbai, I am usually out of home for 12 hours, so definitely look for long lasting makeup. The Kajal Mahique does not smudge, take it from me who has oily skin, and the Mumbai tropical climate - hot n humid; combination of both smudge up best of the products. But not this baby. It definitely is waterproof too, apply it on and splash your face with water (do not rub your face or anything) and the Kajal still stays! So a good one for the rainy days (or for people who perspire a lot). I wouldn't say it is non-transferable, if I unconsciously happen to rub my eye, or if I take a tissue/napkin and try to rub the Kohl off, it does come off or get transferred on my hand. And I would safely say it lasts 9-10 hours, not 12 for me at-least because when I am home there is hardly any trace of the Kajal left. But 9-10 hours honestly is good enough for me as long as it doesn't smudge.

Both MAC's kohl pencil and Maybelline Colossal would smudge up in a couple of hours and I would end up looking like a Gothic girl in the most hideous way. I would have to clean it all up and reapply to look decent again. So I am really really glad those days are over for me!

- Kajal Magique is perfect to craft gorgeous eyes – with the potential to create looks that range from precise, intense to bold.

Apply on your inner eye, above the eye, make cat- eyes do whatever, this Kajal is loyally going to be there to take care of your experimental needs.

- Since it is ophthalmologically tested, Kajal Magique is safe and suitable for contact lens wearers.

I do not wear lenses, or glasses, so this does not really apply to me. But to those it does, yay!

My Verdict is a 9/10 (Leaving 1 point for the fact that it transfers at times). But priced at an MRP of Rs.245 only (Slightly higher priced than Maybelline's Colossal but way cheaper than MAC's Kohl), it is my current favorite, and I see no other Kajal replacing this one (unless probably L'Oreal comes up with a new and improved Kajal Magique :P)

Thanks for reading! Do share your experience through comments!

P.S. You will not find eye selfies and hand swatches images on my blog, because my eyes are really small and I hate taking images of them, and rubbing the kajal on the back of a hand solves absolutely no purpose!

Redecorating with MakeMyHome.Com!

We all love a home that looks attractive, and when the guests come in, specially now being the festive season we definitely want them to go WOW!

My theme would be CASUAL , I like a house to feel homely, and hence comfortable and casual, but with a ethnic touch to it!

Blogadda asked to pick 3 items from here to redo my home. Trust me, it is really difficult to pick just 3, but well here are my favourite 3-

1. The Wonder Arts 3D Effect Wall Decal

Wall Decals are everywhere, and are a great non-expensive way to change the way your home looks. But 3D Wall Decals is something unique! This particular one would look absolutely gorgeous in my living/dining room. And the price so reasonable, I definitely wouldn't think twice to add to cart! And I bet anyone who came home would totally keep staring at it and definitely ask me from where did I purchase, and I would tell 'em, well its a gift (I have to lie right, otherwise everyone would buy one from MakeMyHome!)

2. The Yellow Door Round Oil Burner

This beautiful oil burner / lamp has abstract cutouts that helps it glow with a soft light. I would place it in the corner of my living room bedroom to add to the ambiance! The oil you choose to add brings fragrance to the room too, so basically this one is quite a multi-tasker! (Imagine a subtle yellow lighting and some soothing lavender oil) A must buy I think, and again, quite pocket friendly.

3. Aapno Rajasthan Ganapati Kalash and Diya Wood and Clay Wall Decor

We Indians are big believers in God, Good luck, Prosperity etc. This wall decor has a Kalash, Ganesh ji and a diya. So what better than hanging this beautiful piece at the home's entrance to bring in some good fortune?

There are also some love bedsheets and a lot of other innovative decor on, do check it out!
